End of Gandhi references, I just think that people should know that Gandhi acted as a collaborator, and he certainly isn’t someone that we should be looking to replicate in today’s world.
People tend to say “Gandhi won a nation through peace” which is markedly wrong. They forget the major militant movement which went along with Gandhi’s movement just as the one that went with MLK’s. Peaceful protest in and of itself achieves nothing. Only when the olive branch of peace is held in one hand and the weapon of self-defense held in the other can the people hold a bargaining chip against those who would rob them of freedom and prosperity.
